1. Lightyear: "It Beats" - All Of The Miles

Lightyear is an electro-pop project from Lauren Zettler. Her album All Of The Miles dropped in November and on it, she shows off her refined her songwriting and proves just how heart-cutting this style can be. And she's just getting started. From the sound of the EP, expect nothing but a bright future for Lauren Zettler. And she has a way cool web site. 

2. Field Mouse: "Glass" - Single

The dream pop outfit Field Mouse has us all dreaming of sunny afternoons, lush fields, etc... Singer/guitarist, Rachel Browne, lures you in with her saccharine vocals with proves it with solid intelligent songwriting. With a full length, a 7" and a great new single under their belt, Field Mouse is a certifiable band-to-know in 2012. Oh, and that 7"? It's called You Guys Are Gonna Wake Up My Mom. Good name. 

3. Black Light Dinner Party: "Gold Chain" - Single

This Boston/Brooklyn band has been making waves in the envloggernment (sorry but 'blogosphere' is a terrible word) with their super catchy synth-pop dance singles. They might just be following the footsteps of Passion Pit, in both sound and bi-regional location, but don't hole these pigeons quite yet. Just try to enjoy the sound and we have a pretty good feeling that you will. With their mix of great videos (including this one featuring Ron Jeremy) and their clever songwriting, Black Light Dinner Party will be a household name in no time.
