Indie-rock from Regina, Saskatchewan. This is Rah Rah, a five-piece in the realm of dark, catchy indie-rock (Eels, Arcade Fire, bits and pieces of The Shins come to mind). They’ve been making strange, upbeat, interesting pop music for years and people are finally starting to take notice. Us included. Better late than never. We had the privilege of meeting up with these folks at SXSW this year for an unplugged version of their single “Prairie Girl.” Or, rather, singer Erin Passmore took to the task solo with a single acoustic guitar and blew us away (she’s got a solo record, Downtown EP , by the way, worth digging into).
